- My local town's marathon was just canceled due to the high spread of the delta variant. Our local hospital that funds the marathon as well as provides all medical and ambulance services does not have the manpower to cover the race. It is unfortunate and so frustrating because I live in a blue state that continues to promote conspiracy theories and anti- vaccination dominance.
- I'll just push my efforts now toward the Chicago Marathon and the virtual Boston Marathon.
- I am curious as to whether Chicago will go ahead with its marathon. Most everything has been scaled back. Each month its updates are a little more whittled down.
