Hey, I am inspired by this training program:

https://bridgerridgerun.wordpress.com/2015/03/30/how-to-run-a-3-hour-marathon-a-just-enough-training-approach/

I am starting to put together a training program for myself, loosely modeled after this program. The key differences are:

1. I am not fast enough to try for sub 3. I m shooting for sub 3:15. and;

2. I can't wrap my head around training for a marathon while only running 3 days a week. So, for the "off" days I plan on running shorter distances and slower.

I figure this "just enough" approach is a big difference from the high mileage approach you have been taking. Just something to consider.

Thanks for the comments and helpful training suggestions. I need to try something drastically different because running an outlandish amount of miles got me absolutely no where this year!
