  • I am not happy with my slow overall pace for the last two days. I think that not being accepted into the 2018 Boston Marathon is affecting my motivation and drive to push myself to faster paces. I really need to snap out of my funk.

So sorry you didn't make the Boston cut this year. It was the toughest Boston cut to make, ever. I remember the emotional ride when I qualified the first time, and then missed the cut. Devastating. Two things, however: One, you DID qualify for Boston, and nobody can ever take that away from you. It's a major accomplishment. And two, you WILL run faster and find yourself running Boston some day. Disappointment turns to motivation. You will do it.
